Food, Gambling and Mental Health

Food, diet and nutrition has often been linked to depression and other mental health disorders – problem gambling has, as well. This webinar will explore the possible connection that food and nutrition may have with problem gambling and illustrate ways to add protective factors. In light of the current pandemic, the discussion will also cover ways to maintain physical and mental well-being during these challenging times.

Learning Objectives 

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how food choices can affect a person’s mood
  • Understand the scope of a therapist’s knowledge in order to educate clients regarding healthy eating habits
  • Learn how to better assist clients to develop a self-care plan regarding healthful diet options, including how to grocery shop during COVID-19 for the best nutrition
