Impact of Personality Disorders on the Treatment of Gambling Disorder
In the treatment of addictions and behavioral health issues, it is absolutely vital to treat the individual as a whole, rather than attempting to correct individual patterns or problems that they may be experiencing. Very often, there are several other issues leading to, or being caused by, the initial reason they are seeking treatment. Coexisting problems of personality disorders and gambling problems continue to be identified in treatment and in research – this training will focus on how to best prepare for working with clients who may be presenting with a multitude of problems, and how to effectively create a treatment plan to address these issues.
