Adaptive and Maladaptive Screen Time Activities: Implications for At-Risk Youth
In this workshop, we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages that digital technologies pose for adolescents’ psychosocial development. We will reflect on features of digital technologies that can be used by adolescents in both healthy and unhealthy ways. We will consider the role of individual differences in the relation between adolescents’ digital technology engagement and psychosocial health, with a special focus on at-risk youth.
