Adolescent problem gambling, the hidden addiction taking root in the next generation
This presentation will explore the reality of working with adolescents and their families in treating problem gambling and gambling disorder. This workshop will go through three case studies and how different treatment modalities were implemented to individualize care for long term success. This webinar will raise awareness to the reality, that teens face gambling and other problematic behaviors in their day to day lives and how to best connect with them using individualized care.

Participants will be able to
- Describe “real time” picture into what treating problem gambling and gambling disorder looks like with adolescent clients
- Identify evidence-based strategies in treating adolescents with problem gambling and gambling disorder
- Recognize the importance of using different strategies with different teens
Mental health professionals including psychologists, clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, substance abuse counselors, pastoral counselors, school counselors, as well as clergy, school administrators, recreational therapists, peer support specialists and all those interested in learning about problem gambling.
